Hi, I’m Shae!
A little history…
I first picked up a camera in 2003, in my art class at high school. I immediately fell in love with capturing precious moments of my family at home.. of my little sisters playing in the back yard, our mum hanging out the washing.. ordinary things turned into moments to be photographed & printed and kept safe forever (I still have these photo’s in little albums at home, I adore them!!).
BUT, it wasn’t until our first son was born that I purchased my own ‘proper’ camera! I wanted gorgeous photo’s of our baby as he grew up.. and after two years of photographing my baby boy, then my friends babies & children, I had fallen head over heels in love with photographing families. So, I decided to do this thing for real.. Shae Leesa Photography is literally a dream come true!!
My corny love story.
My husband and I met way back in 2007, I was 18 and new to Mackay - Sam was 19 and had just moved up from Victoria (shout out to Bianca, my SIL, who dragged him up here for a fresh start!). I really struggled to connect with anyone my age and so we were setup on a blind date (yep haha, I braved a BLIND DATE!) Things started slow, we hung out a lot and eventually, we fell in love…. got married and had three babies! Seventeen years later and we are happier and more settled now than we have ever been.
I value memories!
